Fleshing Out Your Ideas - Part 1

Hey guys! Yes, it’s been a while since I last spoke to you. Well, like I always say, ‘I don’t say anything until I have something to say.’ I know we’re in this troubled time with the COVID-19 Pandemic. Everyone is stuck inside looking at the four walls. You've watched all the shows that you wanted to catch up on. You played every video game you have on your system. And your quarantine snack is running low. Well, before you eat that last chip or sip down that last drop of soda, you might want to save some to workout that idea you had for that new comic you’ve been thinking about. I mean, all you got is time.
So get your note pad or turn on your computer and get out those ideas you jotted down. What? You didn’t write it down? I don’t know about you, but you should always put your ideas down on something. Life has a way of making you forget those little details. And with this Coronavirus going around, you have other things to worry about.
After you look over all your thoughts and ideas; what you should do is to write an outline of the story that you want to write. This is from beginning to end. Don’t concern yourself about details just yet. Just the thing you want or think should happen. A trick I learned is you should know the ending before the story begins. With that being said, that should be the 1st thing on your mind, but the last on the outline. Alright creators, GET TO WORK! Until next time when we’ll talk about creating a scene. And while you’re at home, you should check out my books, Beyond the Pages Vol. 2 “The World of Writing Comics” and “Wind & Fire: Anthology” issue. Until next time, stay home and stay safe.
